Happy Birthday, Mom

Thanks for the memories...
Always being home after school and driving us to Concord for ### years so that we could go to private school
Years of piano lessons and recitals
Being a great story teller and keeping the family memories alive
Always being a positive person no matter how you were feeling
Driving hours to Bangor after my first child was born and teaching me all about babies.
Driving to Methuen in the middle of the night to take care of Cindy when Kevin was born
Driving back to NH when Jeff was born even though Dad was home in bed with a bad back.
Having Cindy's 2nd birthday at your house when I was in the hospital
Letting us stay in the basement for a month before moving into our first house
All our phone conversations about raising kids, family and just enjoying conversation
Our lunches out and shopping trips
Supporting and cheering on all my activities with the dogs
Taking on the role of caregiver  and keeping a sense of humor when it can't be easy...
You are an inspiration to all of us
Happy Birthday... love you lots.

New Garage - Step 1

After about a week of digging and pouring, the foundation of our new barn/garage/storage building is now complete.  We hit ledge and luckily didn't have to blast because the footings could be pinned to the ledge.  Now we need to backfill and pour a floor and then the framing can begin.  We're excited to see it all come together :)

Pop Pop

From Drop Box

JUNE 6, 1922 - MAY 2, 2012

Our family is a circle of strength and love.
With every birth and every union, the circle grows.
Every joy shared adds more love.
Every crisis faced together makes the circle stronger.

Going... Going... Gone

Our shed has found a new home on a farm in NH. We will be putting up a larger building this summer to hold our larger tractor and all our other lawn implements. Stay tuned...

Another Blast....

Our Easter Finest circa 1963-65... WOW.  We shopped for just the right outfit for weeks and usually had Easter dinner with one set of Grandparents.  All the girls got corsages to attend church Easter morning. We colored eggs the day before with my cousins and added them to our baskets with our chocolate bunnies. Carl and Diane used to devour their bunnies in short order, but I saved and savored mine for days..... Memories :)

A Little Night Music

Last night, we got to redeem one of our Christmas presents ... tickets to our favorite show.  The show was spectacular and we loved every minute of it.  However, getting home was another issue.  Unbeknownst to us, while we were waiting for the show to begin, Boston had a major transformer explosion which caused a widespread power outage. Luckily the theater district was spared, but many roads were closed, traffic lights weren't working, and police cars were everywhere.  Thanks to the GPS were were able to find our way to Cambridge and then home. Didn't get very much sleep.... but had an exciting evening  :)

Agility

~When work, commitment and pleasure all become one and you reach that deep well where passion lives, nothing is impossible - Unknown

Have gone to two trials with the dogs in the last few weeks. We've really been honing our skills and having lots of fun.

Miranda

When Nancy asked us if we wanted take this little girl into our home to give her a try at agility - we decided to give it a whirl. She is a 1/2 sister to Ike with piles of energy. Lee is in his last year of competition with Tucker so we're hoping she will be trained by the time he retires. So far she's been a quick study, but there's still lots to teach and learn. FUN!!!
