UPDATE FROM CAMP

We went to Maine on Saturday to see the latest progress. We had picked out paint colors a couple of weeks ago and I was sort of nervous as to how things would look. Well... I love all the colors that we picked. Whewwww!!! Most of the kitchen cabinets, except for the island, were installed. The flooring was done.. with the exception of the bathrooms and foyer.. and most of the trim and doors were in. What a BIG difference!! Here are the latest pictures....

YARD WORK

We rented a de-thatching machine today to try to get the dead grass out of the lawn. Boy did that work great! We got tons and piles of thatch. The only trouble is that you have to hand rake the entire lawn after you run the machine over it. We literally raked for 7 hours and the lawn looked a little worse after we finished. I'm hoping that after the rainstorm tomorrow, it will all perk up again and look better than ever. It sure was a LOT of work. Now we just need to edge around our gardens and spread the pile of mulch that has been sitting there for two years.

VERONICA'S VISIT

Veronica wanted to come to Grammie Prager's house for a visit, so we planned a few days on her April school vacation. She rode down to Massachusetts with Charlie's (a friend from school) Mom and I met them at I-495. The first day she got to visit Grampie at his work at Bose for a few hours and then, after lunch, we visited the Butterfly Place in Westford. Veronica was a little apprehensive when we went into the garden where the butterflies were flying free, but she grew more confident after a while. The next day we visited Great Grandma Ciak and did a few craft projects and went to lunch at McDonalds. Veronica loved playing with the dogs and helping me feed all the animals next door.. dogs, turtles, rabbits, frogs and fish. She missed her Mom and Dad at night, but was able to eventually get to sleep and not a peep was heard until morning.
We had a fun visit.... but I'm glad that I no longer have to keep up with a 4 year old :)
Enjoy the pictures....

END OF PROJECT 306

Well, springtime is getting busier than I thought and I am WAY behind in blogging a picture per day. I know that we will have a busy summer finishing and moving back into the Maine house, too. So... I have decided that I will post as often as I can and keep in touch thru those pictures, slide shows and videos when I have interesting and new things to post. Enjoy....

PROJECT 306 :: 40-43

SICK :(

It was a rough plane trip home from Washington yesterday. I was SO congested that I was taking a lot of decongestant and chewing a lot of cough drops. A lot of rest, tissues, and juice and I was feeling a lot better.

A Shampoo and a Blow Dry, Please!!

We took advantage of temps in the 60's today to do some spring cleaning. It would have been more enjoyable had the sun been shining, but the rain stayed away... so we'll take it. Back in the 40's tomorrow....
